Don't you want an easier way to make money?  All you have to do is look like the godaddy girl... but if that's not happening then keep reading for a tip with less cleavage.  The key is to work smarter, not harder.  I was able to make these 2 sites in just over an hour and they generate Google adsense revenue almost instantly.  Come up with a domain name that is asssociated with a popular topic. I chose www.apple-widgets.com and www.mac-widget.com because I know a lot of people are interested in Apple news.  Register the name at GoDaddy for about $7.50.  Make sure you search the internet for the best coupon code available.  Then set the site up at a site like Weebly.  Once you have the site configured it's simple to automatically have news/rumors/stock info streamed onto your site through Feedsweep.  You can pull articles from numerous sites with specific keywords that apply to your new topic.  Now you have a cash generating site that updates content automatically.  Zero management time.  Let me know how it goes!

How big is a google?  I mean a googol?  It's this big (see above).  A googol is greater than the number of atoms in the observable universe (courtesy of Wikipedia).  And google.com basically is the observable universe, receiving around 3.6% of all global page views on any given day.  Check out more google facts here.  (Hopefully everyone reading this also knows about the ability to text google for answers on the go... if you don't click here.)

In case you were wondering, Google pulled in $4.1 × 10^7 ($4.1 billion) in revenue in the first quarter of 2009 (or $4.95/share).  That's a lot of ad money.

Note: Thank you very much to Descartes for inventing scientific notation... he very well may have invented the mullet as well.

How many of you actually write down your expenses?  Do you know the balance of your checking, savings, credit card, and investment accounts?  If you're like the other 127% of the population you probably don't.  It's time for you to get yourself organized and actually find out the monthly costs of your daily lunch outings, booze, gas, entertainment, hair products, tanning sessions, and whatever else you do that is totally unecessary...except for booze.  Anyway, my point is if you haven't done it yet... start writing down everything that you spend and keep track of it for a month.  Create a necessities category with things like food, gas, rent, bills and then a pleasureable category that includes entertainment, golf, movies, bar receipts that you don't remember and other things of that nature.  If a number 2 pencil and wide ruled paper are too old school for you then check out mint.com where you can securely enter in all of your account info and check it all out on one simple page.  Seriously it's safe; if you're going to get your identity stolen it will be from someone stealing your credit card offers via snail mail or copying the magnetic strip on your debit card a the Lonestar Bar in Austin, TX.  "It's the best free way to manage your money."  You can quickly find out how much you're spending each month and what you're spending that cash on.

Start appreciating the value of money.  If you make $10 bucks an hour think about the fact that you worked a half hour just to rent a movie or worked 2 hours to take a date to the movies.  Getting ColdStone afterwards bumps it up to 3 hours.  And that's before taxes.  Put things in perspective.  I'm not saying don't go have fun, just think about it and make sure the amount of money you have coming in every month is greater than the amount you're spending.  If this doesn't work then I advise you go on an all cash system.  Give yourself a predetermined amount of money each week in cash and when it's gone that means it's time to stay home and sit in time-out... or read this website.  Quit using that credit card.  Again, spend less money than you make, it's not rocket science... or even science...it's common sense.  It's the foundation to living a financially responsible life, yet Americans somehow manage to have a negative savings rate year after year.   Hear of the credit crisis?  Spend less than you make and you'll always have money.  Savvy that?

Two Coca-Cola fans, Dusty Sorg and Michael Jedrzejewski, mysteriously ended up with a Facebook page boasting 3.3 million users, second only to Barack Obama's page.  There were already some 200 Coca-Cola pages when they started, but nothing looked very official.  They chose a can of cold coke as an image and the members began to flock.  Coca-Cola, the company, then jumped on board  and are collaborating with the creators to maintain a page that represents and promotes the brand.  Other companies have also started Facebook pages to stay in touch with their customers (and to get marketing data).  Burger King even offered a free hamburger coupon if you dropped 10 of your friends.  Well worth it.

"Something we didn't know we needed until we had it" - Biz Stone

This is a great interview (with Colbert they're all great) with the co-founder of Twitter, Biz Stone.  Twitter is basically a way to keep in touch with people quickly and easily via text message and the twitter site.  You can constantly update friends and family on what you are doing while also receiving messages from the people you choose.  Messages are limited to 140 characters due to the fact that 160 characters is max for a text message (leaving 20 characters for a username).  And spaces count too!  This results in users coming up with creative ways to condense long messages.  140 characters takes you about halfway through the second sentence of this paragraph to get an idea of how short a Twitter message is... There have been rumors that Google is interested in buying Twitter at a price of around $1 Billion.  Currently it's not a profitable company, however the fact that there are around 11 million registered users does create a ton of value.  Demi Moore even stopped a woman's suicide attempt using Twitter.  Now go tell someone what you're doing.
